Data_query graphs stop updating / empty creation checkbox

Post by jef »

it occured to me twice that my data query graphs would stop collecting.
The main clue to brute fix it was that the graphs were now showing an empty check box in the graph creation / data query menu (while they should have had no checkbox..)

So it sounds to me like the data_query mechanism lost track of the "live" graphs..

The first time, it was caused by a disk space issue, the second time, i had duplicated a graph template that was member of the data_query and had fiddle around with it.

Both times the fix was to delete the graph and re-create from the (super-nice) data_query graph creation menu..

The second time, i recovered the data by changing back the rrd file reference to the old file..

I'm 2 week new to Cacti and parsed the last month generals and red the rrd data stop topic which i don't think i related to my data_query thing.. (though i tried to rem the init/close in poller.php).

# Cacti 0.8.6f, rrd-1.2.11, Linux

Thanks

Um, have you run a check/repair on your mysql database? You mention disk space problems, that is the only reason I suggest.
