Cacti php-install screen hangs on 1st screen

Hi,

I just installed cacti on a redhat 8 / php 4.3.0RC2 / apache 2.0.43 system. Installation stops when I go to the http://cacti/index.php and I click on the 'Next >>" button. It does not go to the next screen where to set the variables and directories.. I've tried lots of things but cannot find a reason or error. Phh does work fine, a <? phpinfo() ?> page shows me all the info about php.

I have set the "register_globals = On".

Maybe it still is a combination problem of php and apache, I don't exclude that..

Make sure you have edited the correct php.ini.
I made the mistake of coping a php.ini to /etc/php.ini. This is where I had php.ini in Red Hat. However, in Free BSD the php.ini is at /usr/local/lib/php.ini.
