Cisco 3750 Issues

Post by ermedic »

I am able to add a 3750 without any problems. Cacti is pulling the SNMP info and interface info....no problem there either. I pick the graphs I want to add.....I wait for Cacti to poll....but the graphs never get created.

I have added all flavors of Cisco switches and routers without an issue...so I know Cacti is working. Just seems to be an issue with these 3750s. Anyone have a similar problem/

Does cacti consider the device down?
What poller uptime detection method are you using?

Cacti says the status of the device is "unknown"

Downed Host detection is SNMP - Reliable with a UDP ping.

Thanks for any help you can give me with this!!!

This is very odd. Do you see interfaces and have you attempted to create the graphs?

SNMP is enabled and when I add the device, it shows me all of the available interfaces. So I pick the interfaces that I want, and add the graphs and cacti tells me that the graphs have been created.
When I go to look at the graphs, they are all dead links on the page.....no graphs have been created.

Again, this only happens with my 3750's.....

I've got 4 3750's, all of which are graphing without trouble. I doubt it's a Cacti issue.

I "think" I figured this out.....

I increased the time allowed for PHP to poll these devices.....deleted the devices....then added them back in. They seem to be working at this point..

The only thing that I don't understand is why a fully populate 6500 wouldn't have given me this same trouble.
