I just wanted to let you guys know that Cacti is wonderful. I searched high and low to find a good graphing tool that had all the features that I wanted. Well I defiantly found it and it’s great. Cacti blows all the other competition out of the water as far as I am concerned.
It took me about a day to set everything up the way I like it. I only had one problem and that was quickly solved by visiting the forums (had to do with RRD Tool and the Cacti/Windows Compatibility). Here are the specs (someone may find this useful if they are having troubles or going to install it for the first time and needs version numbers):
* Windows 2003 Server (with SP1)
* Apache 2.0.54
* Cacti 0.8.6f
* Cactid 0.8.6e
* MySQL Essentials 4.1.13
* Net-SNMP 5.1.3-1
* PHP 5.0.3
* phpMyAdmin (easier way to create the tables and populate them with the SQL code)
* RRD Tool 1.2.10
Also, I just wanted to say keep up the good work that goes to all the developers, moders, and tweakers out there! Hopefully in the coming months I can contribute something back to ya all.
Thanks for a great product...

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?

i third that.
after "playing" with it for a few days now we already decided to implement it at the end of the year instead of our existing mrtg installation.
especially the easy adding of new graphs for our admins and the extremely low polling times (over 200 switchports in less than 5 seconds with 1000 threads and cactid!) are worth the effort.
keep up the good work folks!

Poller credit goes to Ian (RaX) and Larry (TheWitness), but I say thanks as well.
