Http Response Time monitoring and Alerting

Post by africanw »

Hi,

Attached in the zip file are the scripts/Templates for the HttpResponseTime program.

The content part works off two tags you put in your website. When the script runs it checks for the tags. If the tags are there then everything is ok. If the tags are not there or something else is wrong a content level is raised and email alerts are sent out.

When the error clears itself the script will send back a UP message.

Not a very good explaination, best to install and look for yourself.

Install notes in the zip aswell.

Regards

AW

Do you get any data returned if you run the script from the command line ?

If so, try changing the query so that you are using the full path to the PERL binary.

I dont understand, how can configure the full path to perl binary? Where? I think is this the problem.

The reply on command line is:
Can't locate RRDs.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.10.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.10.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.7 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.6 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10.0 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.7 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.6 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl .) at REDHTTPresponse.pl line 6.
