Database Schema

Post by Ms_Mole »

Hi,

Is there any documentation with how the database all relates to each other?

I need to save select historic graphs in our company intranet, I want to be able to an external script that collects the data based on the item_id ie
select item_id from user_auth_perms where user_id = N

However my question is how I can get the item_id to relate to the graph_id so I can get both title and filename, I am sure I must be missing something very obvious, but any help would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

Database Schema

Thank for your response, however I am afraid I am not much clearer. You will have to excuse me as I am still having difficulties.

As I understand it the RRD file is stored in data_template_data.data_source_path

I am trying to be able to use user_auth_perms.item_id
to retrieve
data_template_data.data_source_path

I understand
user_auth_perms.item_id = graph_templates_graph.graph_local_id

I am obviously missing something. Any help would be appreciated

Thankyou

It is now my understanding that
data_template_date.local_data_id = user_auth_perms.item_id

Am I correct in making that assumption?

Kind of, correct and kinda wrong.

Check out the routine in php that figures out permissions, it will give you ideas. Start looking in graph.php file and go from there.
