Turn the polling level in cacti to debug for one cycle and paste the output. If it contains WEBLOG entries, then don't bother posting since they just clutter up the log. Turn off WEBEVENTS logging and try again.

Thanks for you help.
I had seen that before but didn't think anything of it. I did the deletes as you suggested but It did not resolve the issue. Now it seems as if it's not polling that NIC card.

I do not see polling for an interface graph. You may have somehow damaged something. Please review your data sources and verify that the data source in question is 1) associated with a host 2) exists (should have been 1) 3) exists in the poller cache.

There isn't anything that shows in the poller cache that's related to traffic.
I did delete the device and build it over again. I use the templete for Windows 2000 servers. When I build a graph for this host there is a selection for traffic for this device and I do check it in the list. But when I come to the next screen where you get to select the colors for the graph I don't get the option to select a color.
When checking data sorces there is a traffic item listed.
Is it possible when I edited the template I may have changed somthing that casued this error. Is there a way to set it back to a default value?
Could I just reload cacti into the same folder?

If your installation is just started, I would just rebuild the cacti database from the cacti.sql file. Otherwise, I would repair the interface templates using a separate instance of Cacti and exporting it from the known good and then reimporting to the existing database.

Finally it's woring correctly.
I made both changes you suggested and everything is working great now.
I couldn't reapply the cacti.sql so I just created a new sql database under a different name.

Ok, so I spoke too soon.
I don't understand. I'm trying to monitor several routers at different sites. If I select the router at this office everyting works fine. I can see all the graphs. But If I pick an off site router it doesn't work. I don't see any graphs. It's crazy.
Where am I missing the mark here?

1) For the router(s) which are not working, what does the debug log say is the problem?
2) In Devices, does cacti think they are up?
3) Can you get a verbose query on their interfaces?

Verbose Query shows

and no errors on data source debug.

Sounds like cacti has never been able to sucessfully query the device.

What uptime method do you have set in cacti ?
Can you ping the device?
Can you get snmp info from the device?

Uptime? It polls every 5 min if that's what you are asking.
And ICMP is turned off on our network so I can not ping devices over the WAN link.
And I do have MRTG running on another server that's getting stats from that router.

Could it be the speed on my test system?
It's running on a Dell GX150 W/ 512 mg of memory
Windows Server 2000.
