Thold 2.1a & Cacti 0.8.6e

Has anybody already updated their Cacti/Thold combination to 0.8.6e ?

Any things to consider ? Any bugs detected ?

Here are patched files for cacti-0.8.6e

They are unofficial. I have not seen any issues today (when I've made them)

In which steps do you propose the update from 0.8.6d with thold to 0.8.6e with thold ??

install cacti 0.8.6e
use thold.sql from original patch (I forgot to add it)
unzip thold-cacti-0.8.6e in cacti's base dir

Hi,

Can someone PLEASE tell me the exact files and order, to install thold functionality with a new cacti 0.8.6e install ?

1. I assume that the install.sh file must be run from the "original" thold2.1a.zip file, so that it can create the relevant SQL tables ?

2. At this point I am able to see the blue Threshold tab, when I log into the cacti webpage. However, at the same time I also get a "sanity ... line 1000" error when I try to access: Graph Management -> "Filter by host:" ... is a patch required to fix this, or is this error a known problem ?

3. Where do I find this "thold patch" and is it needed for cacti 0.8.6e and thold2.1a.zip ?

Hi ASM I have small qustion
what the cactid patch add to threshold addon ? or dows it replace the check-thold.php ?

Hey All,

Sorry for possibly the silly question. I am running Cacti/Thold on a Windows 2003 System. Works amazingly by the way.

I just have the one issue after I upgraded to 8.6e. I am trying to apply the patch but have no clue how to install it. Is it a script I run? From DOS? Or from my web browser?

I just wanted to know whether Thold could handle trap notifications...

If yes , how to do it?

I have added Thold to a cacti 0.8.6e and it seems to work perfectly fine.

The Patch is not working for me. Anyone know the issue?

[root@lix01 cacti]# patch -p1 < thold_086e.patch
can't find file to patch at input line 3
Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
