changing c:\rrdtool\rrdtool.exe create path

Post by thisisharper »

The slashes are off on my rrdtool create command in debug. The update command looks fine. Where do I change the path for create? Anyone?

Example:
c:\rrdtool\rrdtool.exe create C:\apache\htdocs\cacti/rra/daldc1_hdd_total_11.rrd

c:\rrdtool\rrdtool.exe update C:\apache\htdocs\cacti\rra\daldc1_hdd_total_11.rrd

Thanks in advance!

It will work fine either way.

Are you having a problem that makes you think this is causing it? If so, what is it?

My graphs aren't being generated and I'm not seeing any *.rdd in the C:\apache\htdocs\cacti\rra\ directory. I've looked at the debug and do not see any errors.

Addtional Info:
If I run the following command at a command prompt then it does create the .rrd file in the proper directory.

c:\rrdtool\rrdtool.exe create C:\apache\htdocs\cacti/rra/daldc1_hdd_total_14.rrd --step 300 DS:hdd_total:GAUGE:600:0:U DS:hdd_used:GAUGE:600:0:U RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:1:600 RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:6:700 RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:24:775 RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:288:797 RRA:MAX:0.5:1:600 RRA:MAX:0.5:6:700 RRA:MAX:0.5:24:775 RRA:MAX:0.5:288:797

I fixed my problem by using rrdtool-cygwin-1.2.10.zip.

Thanks!

You download it, extract it, and the tell Cacti where rrdtool.exe is.
