raX,
Here it is. We talked about graph profiles with OID, colors, etc. But how about this. An "Import/Export" button so we can share our creations. Now were cooking on GAS! If you do that, people could share the Cacti experience from your web page. As the Grinch would say, "it makes me all tingly inside!"

In what format are you suggesting we share exports?
It would be "dope" to be able to export a portion of the mysql db to allow for an import of the exact data sources and graph methods, along with perhaps static graph images to give you an idea of what your data "could" look like. Might be very handy!

This is a pretty cool idea actually, I was actually thinking about implimenting something similar for data input sources. This way users would not have to worry about getting the input/output arguments messed up, instead they could just import a file into cacti to do this for them.
I could see this kind of feature being expanding further though. Perhaps to include graphs/data sources as well as you suggested. I think this kind of feature would go along nicely with a command line interface to cacti as some have suggested.
It is definetely not out of the question.

I agree. I would use XML if anything to accomplish this task. The only thing that becomes annoying is when you are dealing with AUTO_INCREMENT_ID fields. Many times the ID field that is auto-generated in one step needs to be referenced in a later step, meaning it cannot be hard coding into the XML file.
Use of MySQL's LAST_INSERT_ID() function or some PHP logic should suffice however.
