Slackware 9.1 and Cacti 0.8.6e

Post by gabriellauter »

Hi, I was using Cacti 0.8.5a and everything was working fine. I tried to update to Cacti 0.8.6e. After make all the migrantion steps exactly as indicated on the Cacti Website, I have problems running the poller.php script. This is the result exactly as printed on my console screen:

root@ShapeDell:~/pacotes/cacti-0.8.6e# /usr/bin/php /var/www/htdocs/cacti/poller.php
Content-type: text/html
X-Powered-By: PHP/4.3.3

<br><strong>This script is only meant to run at the command line.</strong>

It is very strange, because I am running the script at the command line!

My system have the follow configuration:
- Slackware 9.1
- PHP 4.3.3
- RRDTool 1.0.49
- Apache 1.3.28

Thanks for any help!

This is a PHP issues where your php.ini file is telling the system not to pass ARGV and ARGC to the script. You need to change that setting.

I would recommend an upgrade in either case.
