There was a reason to ask u about our PHP version stoelerl

See my post in this this topic:
Using PHP 4.3.10 instead of 5.0.3 fix this problem.

Seems step from PHP 4.x to 5.x is not smooth......

Different Issue with Template

Post by jhottle »

I am running all the correct software verisons, the template imports fine, but I get an error message when polling my router for interface statistics.

Here is the error I recieve:

Error: Duplicate DS Name: traffic_in
Then it tells me error opening files, no such file found.

jhottle,

check Data Templates Interface - Traffic (should be used).
The template should only have one DS traffic_in and one DS traffic_out.

Delete the duplicate DS traffic_in if present.

This also works for 7500, 7600, 10K and GSR routers. I did not try any others yet.

question about total memory

Post by zorrolero »

hi all,

i successfully imported the 7200-template, but i wonder if it works right, cause the free and used memory shown by the graphes is not the sum of the total installed memory on the monitored router... :o

here is the output of "show version" with the total amount of memory:
---
cisco 7206VXR (NPE400) processor (revision A) with 245760K/16384K bytes of memory.
Processor board ID 30467831
R7000 CPU at 350Mhz, Implementation 39, Rev 3.3, 256KB L2, 4096KB L3 Cache
6 slot VXR midplane, Version 2.7
---

...and here the associated graph:

any hints are welcome....

guys, I'm fairly new to Cacti/SNMP, how do you figure out which OID is the correct one to use for a task?

I'm trying out this template now against my 7609, but as well as memory and CPU usage, I also want to pull out the number of active PDP calls per APN on the cisco. I've snmp-walked the Cisco tree, but of the 33000+ OIDs I'm not sure which one is the one I want... Thats the bit I can't figure out how to find out...

Does this work with PHP 5 now?

I don't want my data interfaces to get whacked.

I set up a schedule of interfaces.

The schedule is wrong.
Example in the picture.
Although the number of interfaces is 1000.

Code: Select all

# snmpwalk -Os -c public -v 2c 192.168.2.1 .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.1.0
ifNumber.0 = INTEGER: 998
# snmpwalk -Os -c public -v 2c 192.168.2.1 .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.1.0
ifNumber.0 = INTEGER: 1224
# snmpwalk -Os -c public -v 2c 192.168.2.1 .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.1.0
ifNumber.0 = INTEGER: 1007
#
I do not understand what has been done wrong.[/b]

Who can see the XML file?
Read the HOWTO's, but I can not find the error.
