restore backup

Post by cm2 »

hi folks

i'm using vmware gsx server and made a complete backup of my cacti-server one week ago(1 file for the whole disk). now i made some mistakes and cacti isn't working correct anymore.
can i backup my graphs now, restore the 1 week old backup and replace the rrd-files with the one i got now? Would that work?? Or do i have to something else? Like DB-files?

thank you

Its a good start.. Not knowing what went wrong, try just the
flat-files restore only, then the flat files AND the database
files, and lastly the complete image including the RRAs ..

(The RRA files hold the graph data itself.)
