PHPSVR: Poller[0] ERROR: Input Expected

System is SuSE 9.2
PHP 4.3.8
Cacti 0.8.6e

Since update to 0.8.6e no data is collected and the following appears in the log when I run poller.php from command line:

It looks like PHP is crashing. Can you set logging to DEBUG and run 1 pass of "php <path_cacti>/cmd.php from a command line and post the results.

p.s. You may also have buggered up data sources. Goto Data Sources and select the host filter "None" and look for abarent ones. If you find them, before you delete them. Please record the type and snmp/script/script server type.

It was a Data Source Problem with one of my ucd/net SNMP (in fact net-snmp 5.1.2 if that is important) Hosts.

I have placed a patch into Cacti cmd.php to prevent this moving forward. PHP should not have expired (abended), but for some reason it does on certain versions.

well in fact now I'm getting this kind of errors:

do I have ro recreate all graphs ??

Well they used to be valid before upgrading.
If I do what you tell me, I see a lot of them.

You may have had them all along. Data Sources get unassociated from hosts when you delete a host, but not the Data Source. This was quite easy to do in earlier versions of Cacti. Unfortunately, it appears some versions of php_snmp crash php when you have invalid SNMP information.

Weel I went back to my old 0.8.5a.

When upgrading to newer version, do I have to recreate all the devices/data sources etc ???
Or do I have to upgrade step by step from 8.5x to 8.6x going from one version to the next ?

Can you please dump your 0.8.5a database and e-mail to my e-mail account. I would like to audit it to find the source of the problem.

Downgrading involves the restoration of your database from backup. Once this is done, you should be all set.

Yup did backup my sql db before doing anything so the return to 8.5a was not a pain and everythings is ok.
Did want to upgrade to be abble to have new funcionalities and use some plugins like the threshold stuff.
