summation of two or more interface traffice graphs

Post by nileshsawant »

I am new to cacti, i need solution for following :
1) Say I have 'n' numbers of links, already creating traffic graph of 'n' links. In addtion to this I want to generate graph that will be summation of this 'n' links traffic
Say ...

Total Traffic Graph should be :
Total Incoming : 1st In + 2nd In+..n5th In
Total Outgoing : 1st Out + 2ns Out+...nth Out

Please provide me the solution for this.

You have to create the summarization graph manually... :(

Create a new graph, don't assign it to a host, and then you can add the Graph items (DS) from the traffic DS's you are interested in.

doesn't work 100%

When I did that the graph's legend did not include the name of the data source. For example in the attached graph you shoud have 'CPU0' and 'CPU1' and show which color is which data source to the left of 'Current' for each data source.

All I did was to create a graph, didn't assign it to any host or graph template and add the data sources.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Seems to work correctly otherwise.
