If I try to use cactid 0.8.6e i get this:
06/23/2005 09:59:05 AM - POLLER: Poller[0] DEBUG: About to Spawn a Remote Process [CMD: c:\cactid\cactid.exe, ARGS: 70 75]

06/23/2005 09:59:05 AM - POLLER: Poller[0] DEBUG: About to Spawn a Remote Process [CMD: c:\cactid\cactid.exe, ARGS: 49 55]

and the polling process doesn't start at all.

But running in debug i saw this error:
06/23/2005 10:27:48 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[0] SNMP: v0: None, dsname: traffic_out, oid: .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.34, output: U

06/23/2005 10:27:48 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[0] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result:

This is not crashing script server in 0.8.6c but could be responsible for the error in 0.8.6e.

I am not able to find out what is causing the problem.
any help?

thanks

I found the data source that caused the problem.

Deleted it and now the log is fine.

I upgraded to 0.8.6e and now everything seems fine.

Do you remember what was wrong with the data source?

Can you say how did you find it?

Goto Data Sources, select host = None. That should bring them out. If you can't find it, then repost. Make sure that you run in DEBUG for a pass as well. Run both cmd.php and poller.php from the command line in DEBUG as well, post the output from those commands.
