Auto-rename RRD files

I think it would be useful to have a feature in Cacti for when you change a device name, the .rrd files will automatically be renamed too. Say for instance you change a server or switch name, the .rrd file would be renamed too instead of keeping the old name.

Me-too on this.

Especially useful, since the "Description" field is used to determine the filenames of the graphs, and a user may have used "My server on the third floor by the printer" as their device Description.

Alternately, and probably a better idea, would be to not use the Description field for file names -- use an abstract ID of some sort... like the device ID or something.

on that topic having a data_query "Suggested Values" option for data source filenames would be cool too.

-> "Data Source Fields"
-> "Data Source Path"
