Problems Tholding

Post by thewall »

Hi,

As you can see in this picture, Cacti is collecting CPU utilization but the threshold monitor is not making the same. For any datasource the threshold are null.

What could be happening?

Tks

I have the same situation, but since it was working perfectly in the other machine with the same database (rrdtool), maybe some versions diff can explain this:
Working machine:
- mysql vs. 4.0.22
- rrdtool vs. 1.0.49
"New machine":
- mysql vs. 4.1.11
- rrdtool vs. 1.2.8
Note that thold don´t support backwards, so I installed it from scratch and redefined new threshoulds.
I run manually the php line:
---
# su - cactiuser -c '/usr/bin/php /usr/local/cacti/thold/check-thold.php'
PHP Notice: Undefined offset: 0 in /usr/local/cacti/lib/thold-functions.php on line 36
---
Note that rrdtool is vs. 1.2, but most of rrd files are vs. 1.1 (rrdtool 1.2 can read 1.1 db files).

Any hints?

Hi, thanks for your post.

In fact, this change in the code have worked well. :)

But I couldn´t figure out the reason, if you could explain why this (old) code works on rrd 1.0 and don´t work on rrd 1.2... just for my understanding. Tks! 8)

bst rgds,
Shine
