Only graphing network interfaces, can't graph CPU, MEM, disk

Post by chadw »

Hi there,

I've got cacti running fine with Brocade switches and Unix hosts. I'm trying to add a couple of Windows hosts, but when I add them, the only thing I can successfully monitor is network activity. How do I enable CPU, MEM, and disk monitoring on the Windows hosts? The Windows server are running Windows 2000.

Thanks,

Chad

Did you install the SNMP service on Win2K?

There are scripts / templates that come with cacti to monitor everything you requested.

Yes, snmp has been enabled on the server. I can do an SNMP walk and see CPU and disk info, but the templates aren't retrieving the data.

Are you using php or net-snmp snmp?

I haven't had good luck with the cpu template. Instead, I manually set up a generic oid template to get the cpu info.
I can sucessfully get the disk info though. What error(s) do you get with the verbose output for that template?
