What does the " m " next to discards result represent ?

As far as I can figure out, it stands for milli. You will need to multiply your number by the step time to find out the number of errors/discards you got within that timeframe.
For example, my step time is set for 300 seconds (5min), the default. On my graph, I have a 6.58m errors/s. So .00658 * 300 = 1.974 or around 2 errors within the 5 min step time.
As a rule of thumb if you're using a 300s step time, seeing 3.33millierrors/sec is roughly 1 error in 5min. 6.66millierrors/sec ~ 2 errors in 5min, etc. This applies to the Current and Maximum readings. With Average, you need to factor the length of time of your graph.
