You are using the Alpha of 0.8.7. I don't recommend that path for right now. The issue itself is a bug in the current development path. Still working out bugs and architecture. Problem is, once your database is at 0.8.7, it's hard to backoff the database.

Oppsss .. forgot to add version information before, i am using 0.8.6 not the alpha one.
Yesterday i tried to use other browser on other workstation. Using XP SP2, my friend claimed, yes.. absolutely the blue screen which is covering the whole graph on my screen is disappeared. Just like normal.
So i think this is has something to do with java ..
any idea why ?

Um, it's accually javascript, it shouldn't have anything to do with the java you have installed.
Make sure you have javascript enabled.

OK, just to clear things up, the zoom feature doesn't work in all browsers. It is tested and confirmed in IE 6+ Netscape 7+ and Mozilla 0.8+ as working. I know for a fact that you will have issues in Konqueror, but concerning other browsers, I do not know.
If you would like to zoom, Please use a supported browser.

On Mac OSXS, the 'blue screen of zoom' appears in safari v1.2.4.
Zoom works fine in FireFox .91, Netscape 7.2, Camino .8.
Zoom does not work in IE 5.2.3, but blue screen does not appear -- the zoom cursor is just missing.
It appears that the zooming does work in safari (numbers change below), it just displays blue instead of the graph.

Correct IE 5.x will not work.
As for safari, it's been a thorn in my side.... I have tryed implementing changes to support the KHTML rendering engine that Safari uses, but it doesn't seem to take effect. The problem is that Safari/KHTML does not support semi transparent document layers, this is how the Zoom works. Until it correctly supports Semi transparent document layers, Safari will not work properly with the zoom feature of cacti.

Has anyone else had a problem with Firefox 1.0.4 and Zooming? All 3 of my machines that run it do not get the correct cursor and no highlighted zoom box (but by click-drag and then click again you can still actually zoom).
I have tracked down the issue and have created a patch for it if anyone else is having this issue.
