Ok i think i found the problem with cactiquery not working on some people.
I forgot to mention in the ReadMe file that the query is for the "LAST" RRA i did not implement yet a way to choose the RRA type.
So for them moment open rrd.php and find line #524 change it to AVERAGE or whatever RRA you want to use and try it again. Please inform back if this works so that i can continue patching the RRA issue.

Well I'm not as lucky as starkie yet - for me it's failing right after clicking on the query graph icon. It just pushes a new page with the tree displayed at the left and the main body of the page all gray.

Just for my sanity, I double checked my installation - I am seeing some of the changes. I've attached screenshots.

I did try the rrd.php line #524 change...no dice...but I understand the reason for the change.

I don't have access to another browser to try to rule out IE6 problems - but I see fmangeant is experiencing the same problems I am with FireFox.

Anything else I can test, report, let me know

Does it do that for all graphs? or for specific graphs?

Hi

I'm having this problem with all graphs :(

My test system is running Cacti 0.8.6c + latest patches from http://www.cacti.net/downloads/patches/ ... re-patched :
- functions.php
- graphs_new.php
- host.php
- rrd.php
- top_graph_header.php

I then install cactiquery 0.8.6c, overwriting rrd.php & functions.php. Do you think it can cause a problem ?

Thanks in advance.

Ok i will check the patches and see if they are different from the .php files cactiquery uses (i think they are newer than the ones i had).
I will report back later.

I was doing some more playing around, and I found this post about changing the "last" to "average". I did that, and now I get the results of the query on the page, but the dump to csv doesn't work, it still gives me those errors as before.

Also see http://forums.cacti.net/about7467.html

Ideas?

Rick
