The 'data_input_data_cache' table was renamed to 'poller_item' in 0.8.6. In addition, much of the poller architecture was modified. This patch would have to be updated to work under a current version of Cacti.
TheWitness and I are currently having a discussion about the feasibility of implementing this. In short, this feature is definitely on the TODO, it's just a matter of deciding upon the best method of implemention.

Hi,
I am curently new to cacti, and really impressed about .. so far, design and complexity of graphs choices. I was using before a combination of MRTG, RRDTool and Routers2Monitor front end. So, I need something which will give me at list similar. There I was using for each device another instance of mrtg (so each device another script, from here the flexibility of diffferent timing for pooling).
In CACTI I see more, but still missing the pooling part. I need different time pooling for different devices. For Ex. I am monitoring active calls on Cisco Devices, where I need sometimes even less than 1 minute pooling, and for normal Disk Usage monitoring on servers, 30 minutes pooling will suit perfectly for me (since these days disks are preaty enough and not getting filled so easily).
I have installed version 0.8.6c_2 from FreeBSD ports and I see here that you don't have yet a patch released. I apreciate anybody who could help me getting different time pooling working for this release I am using.
I use mrtg+rrd to monitor my routers and switch every 1 minute; I think mrtg is a bit difficulut to understand at the begin but it has an important future: it is extremely flexible!
Now I'm testing cacti 0.8.6d with thold 2.1a and I thin it is a great product but but I have difficult tu understand how to change some BASIC configuration option like poller interval. I have read all posts in this forum about this but I'm A BIT CONFUSED.
to sum up...can some explain definitiverly if is possible to configure poller every 1 minute and provide a step by step guide?
Is there a solution for 1 minute polling interval and 1 minute graphing in the current verison of Cacti? I need to be able to display 1 minute graphs in order to use Cacti for monitoring our links.
This would enable you have an entry in each config item with it's own polling interval ???
On some of the screens where you can select multiple entries, it would also be good to be able to change the polling interval for multiple entries too (similar to what you have for snmp config).
I had seen this i think (or something similar) i thought it was for an older version. Some of the diffs that i have downloaded have not worked because of this. I had not noticed that one of them was a .pdf.
