IF MIB support

Post by jimmygift »

Hi

what kind of device you're trying to poll ?

It seems like the SNMP agent on that device doesn't support the IF MIB which contains the definitons for the ifName and ifAlias variables

Located input field 'ifName' [walk]
+ Executing SNMP walk for data @ '.1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.1'
+ Found item [ifName='No Such Object available on this agent at this OID'] index: 1 [from value]
+ Located input field 'ifAlias' [walk]
+ Executing SNMP walk for data @ '.1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.18'
+ Found item [ifAlias='No Such Object available on this agent at this OID'] index: 18 [from value]
+ Located input field 'ifType' [walk]

Short term, take the lib/snmp.php from Cacti 0.8.6c and incorporate it. Then, please work with me on the patch. My IM information is available as a part of this post.
