Hi, I'm relatively new with cacti and had installed 8.6 on a FreeBSD 4.10 box running apache 1.3.x (I don't remember the specific version) with PHP 4.3.5 and Net-SNMP 5.1.1_1, mySQL 4.0.18_1, rrdtool 1.0.47. Cacti worked fine with this config.
However, the boss wanted me to update the ports for everything on the machine. So I did and now cacti gives me this:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: session_start() in /usr/local/www/data-dist/cacti/include/config.php on line 74
The new versions of software are:
PHP 4.3.9
mySQL 4.0.21
apache 1.3.31_6
net-snmp 5.1.2_1
rrdtool 1.0.49
Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
PHP Session Problem?

Fixed!
Ok, so after some digging online I double-checked my php install. Turns out after I did the upgrade I didn't go back and recreate the php.ini (I know, stupid mistake, but I'm used to running this all on a Windows machine where I'm much more comfortable). This caused session problems and caused php to not find the extensions properly.
Secondly, the extensions I had installed previously were wiped out by the upgrade and I hadn't put them back. Once I reinstalled them cacti started working again.
