I have Cacti running on Solaris and it talks to a variety of snmp-enabled clients including Solaris boxes and Windows boxes. What templates are best accurate for Solaris and what are best accurate for Windows? I'm currently using icd/net for Solaris and not sure about Windows.
Thanks in advance,
Luke
What template to use?

After the windows snmp client is installed, you can monitor many things. It all depends on what you're interested in. "What should I monitor" is a vague question which can only be answered by yourself.
| Scripts: Monitor processes | RFC1213 MIB | DOCSIS Stats | Dell PowerEdge | Speedfan | APC UPS | DOCSIS CMTS | 3ware | Motorola Canopy |
| Guides: Windows Install | [HOWTO] Debug Windows NTFS permission problems |
| Tools: Windows All-in-one Installer |
Oh, the reason I ask because there are many templates in there the describe the same system resources like : Memory usage, CPU Utilization, etc. From an snmp-enabled Windows box, using the icd/net templates will yield blank page with no graph, but icd/net works perfectly on my Solaris boxes. This makes me think that there are templates that are not supported by Windows and some are not supported by Unix.
