RRD 1.2.x and Windows Cacti - Change Root Issue

I recently found Cacti and decided to give it a go (installed on Windows Server 2003 ) - very nice (except the pathing issues... grrrr) and probably a replacement for my MRTG .

Anyway, when I originally installed RRDTool I decided to try the newer 1.2.6 however it did not work. It appears to have an issue with change root which earlier 1.0.4x versions do not seem to have.

I don't really know what the issue is, but this is just a heads up in case someone else has similar issues. If I find out what it going on I'll pass it along.

You need to be WAAAAYYYY more specific. RRDTool 1.2.6 Cygwin works just fine with Cacti 0.8.6d.

The RRDTool is the compiled Win32 binary version - rrdtool-1.2.6-win32-perl58.zip.

I am not using Cygwin, but I do have a bastardised Cygwin environment that was installed with OpenSSH for Windows.

What else would you like to know?

That fixed it - thanks.

I also had to install the arial narrow fonts as WIN2K3 didn't have them and RRDTool wanted them. I haven't mananaged to get RRDTool working from any directory other then c:\rrdtool yet though as there is some sort of permission issue but I'll work it out.

Had the same problem. Used first rrdtool-1.2.6-win32-perl58.zip, but this one din't wanted to run. So I tried the rrdtool-cygwin-1.2.6.zip and this one works without any problems.
