Error compiling cactid on debian

Error compiling cactid on debian

I get this error when i do ./configure to install cactid:

configure: error: Cannot find MySQL header files under /usr

How do i fix that?

Make sure you have the client libraries for mysql install.

Think they are refered to as mysql-dev or something in deselect.

Can you post a link to mysql dev source code? I could only find the standard distribution source code(for the latest version of mysql). I don't use Redhat so pls no rpms.
I could not compile using the --with mysql (or something like this).

I would have to look at dselect to find it.. mysql-lib or something like that... Sorry for the wild goose chase with mysql-dev...
