Average bandwidth greater than max bandwidth

Post by zippy1981 »

Hello,

I've setup cacti to monitor several machines. All seems to work well except that it reports higher average bandwidth than max bandwidth outbound on eth1 on 2 of the machines as illustrated in the attached graph below. Any theories as to why this is happening?

Hi

"364.01 m" means "0.36401"

It's not... See that little "m" next to the average... That stands for milli.

1m = 0.001

So, your average is much smaller than the max.
