SNMP, FREEBSD, >100MBit

Post by altazar »

Hi, i have a problem getting figures from FreeBSD 5.3 em0 interface (Intel 1gbit). I'd found information that i should use 64-bit counters(ifHCInOctets,ifHCOutOctets) instead of regular 32-bit, because with regular 32-bit counters i can get stats only from maximum 100mbit channel. I've tried ucd-snmp 4.2.3, net-snmp 5.2.1 and can't understand why there are "no such object".

Code: Select all

host# snmpget -v 2c -c public localhost ifHCInOctets.1
IF-MIB::ifHCInOctets.1 = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID
Where the problem could be ? Please Help..

Because the specific agent is not supporting it.
