PERL Error Code in Windoes XP

Hi

I am new to this forum and I need to find out what does PERL Error code in Active PERL 255 & 128 mean.
I am very new to PERL.

There is some no. divided by some no. and then I am getting the above codes 255 and 128. Can someone help me with this?

Did you write the scripts or using someone elses?
What version of perl are you using?
Did you do a clean install or an upgrade?
Did you search around on Google or ActiveState's forum for the cause and fix?
