I am somewhat new to Cacti, and would appreciate a little help. We had a graph that appeared to be behaving strangely. I decided to remove the graph and start from scratch (there were recent changes made to the host which may have changed SNMP indexes). I removed the data source and all of the associated data. When I go to the polling host in order to start graphing that interface again, it still shows greyed out as if it is currently graphing. However, there is no corrosponding entry for the interface under data sources or under graph management.
I have gone to the polling host and used the green circle to update the snmp query, but there was no change in behavior. That interface still shows greyed out.
What is the proper method for removing an interface from monitoring and what is the proper method for updating a polling host to reflect any new changes?
TIA

Double check that the graph has been removed as well. When removing a graph and data source, you have to do both to graph again.

Cacti version?
When you go into graph management, you can Filter by host, that is if you are running a more resent version.

Yep. That's where I'd been checking all along. If I filter on my host, the graph is not listed, yet it still shows greyed out when I try to start graphing it again.
I actually noticed that we were having more problems than I thought with this one particular host. So I decided to just remove the entire host and start from scratch.
Let me ask this...for future reference...if I want to remove a graph and re-add it, what should my procedure have been? First remove the graph, then remove the data source? As it is, I think I only removed the data source (and selected the 'remove all references, etc') option.
What is the proper procedure?
TIA

Well, in latest version, removing the data source and all references works. But I think I recall an issue in earlier version.
