Paste that text to a shell script and redirect to a file and see what you get. Post your STDERR output to the forum.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?

STDERR = Standard Error
In a shell script you would redirect using the "2>" redirect symbol. Otherwise, the error will just appear and the PNG file will be generated to the file. The ">" redirect will handle that portion.
So your syntax would be something like:
In that case STDERR will be redirected to the console
In the second case STDERR will be directed to the file my.error

Code: Select all
rrdtool graph ... > my.png
Code: Select all
rrdtool graph ... > my.png 2> my.error
