Paste that text to a shell script and redirect to a file and see what you get. Post your STDERR output to the forum.

STDERR = Standard Error

In a shell script you would redirect using the "2>" redirect symbol. Otherwise, the error will just appear and the PNG file will be generated to the file. The ">" redirect will handle that portion.

So your syntax would be something like:

Code: Select all

rrdtool graph ...  > my.png
In that case STDERR will be redirected to the console

Code: Select all

rrdtool graph ... > my.png 2> my.error
In the second case STDERR will be directed to the file my.error

ERROR: opening '/var/www/html/cacti/rra/localhost_mem_buffers_3.rrd': No such file or directory
