Inbound and Outbound Graph Values Identical

Post by belgarath043 »

I have been running cacti for a while and noticed my inbound and outbound values are always the same. I am running cacti-0.8.6 and rrdtool-1.1.0.49. I have attached a snapshot of the stats on my Internet edge router. Note the inbound and outbound values are the same. In reality, my Internet traffic on the inbound should easily exceed the outbound. After double checking the phyiscal interface I have confirmed these values are not even close. If any one has any ideas I would appreciate.

thanks in advance.

Craig

Shot in the dark, but i had a couple show up like that and the Inbound and Outbound sources were both set for the INBOUND source. I don't know how it got that way but when I changed it it stayed and worked fine.

Hey that's it.. I changed the Data Queries for SNMP interface Statistics. I wonder why these are not the defaults? I had to click the check box and change the setting under the data templates. Now my data source is in Octets, I am assuming a octets to bits conversion is happening?

thanks for your help
