Graph interfaces traffic

Post by rourou »

Hello,

I'm trying for a few day to graph localhost interfaces trafic...

I've created my device and associated the corresponding data query (interface traffic)
but when I go to the graph view section, the graph are not displayed and I've got only the tittle of the 3 graph (eth0, sit0, lo) corresponding to my 3 interfaces... nothing else...

What should I do ?

I try to execute ##> php /var/www/html/cacti/cacti-0.8.6c/poller.php

Here is the result :
ERROR: Duplicate DS name: traffic_in

I'm seeing nearly the exact same thing on version 0.86d trying to graph eth0 and eth1. Here are the errors, everything else is successful.

ERROR: Duplicate DS name: traffic_out
ERROR: opening '/var/www/cacti/rra/home_traffic_in_24.rrd': No such file or directory

edit "data template": Interface - Traffic

Post by tux73 »

Edit data template "Interface-Traffic"
In and out must have a unique name. If you have in + in max +out +out max please don't use names like: in + in +out +out This doesn't work

If you open the Template, you see 4 tabs.
click on each tab an rename them with unique names (you need only to rename 2).

After you did this, the new rrd-file will be saved and you'll get your graph. :D
This belongs to every Debian Sarge user, too, due to a bad Template in the packet.
