I have several 3Com switches on our Lan and we use Cacti and rrd to monitor.
THIS IS GREAT BY THE WAY
Only thing is that when i add a new device it show up nicley in the list. and all the ports gets added and the post name aliasas is shown in the list.
But when i show the Graphs it outputs |query_ifDescr|/|query_ifIndex| insted og the Alias IE. It displayes RMON Port 01 on/101 insted of the Alias whitch i have put in the switch on the port number.
Does anyone know what identifier to use to get the Alias names on the Graphs title ? Or how to modify the templates .
I have solved this now by manualy editing all the headers on every single port. But there must be an easier way ..
