MacTrack keeping MAC addresses secret

Thank you, folks, for creating the amazing Cacti tool and providing it to the community, you are truly appreciated!

I'm hoping for help with a fresh install of Cacti 1.2.29 and MacTrack 4.9 on Ubuntu 24.04.

Cacti itself is working awesome, as usual. Lots of useful graphs.

However, MacTrack appears to be collecting - but not displaying MAC addresses.

At first, none of the Cisco (or Dell) switches were being scanned by MacTrack - and the Cacti | MacTrack logs reported 'device type not found'. Looking through the MacTrack 'Device Types' screen revealed that all the device types were DISABLED! Once I enabled the relevant ones, MacTrack started to happily scan them.

I thought everything was great - since MacTrack reported that it found ~200 MACs (see screenshot):

...and the MacTrak Interfaces tab looks great - showing all the switch interfaces from both the Cisco and Dell switches, with traffic levels, descriptions and aliases.

However, when trying to view the MACs - the screen shows up - but is blank (see screenshot that shows that MacTrack has found 21 MACs off the Cisco 3850, but the MAC address column is blank:):

If I SEARCH for MAC's containing a '2' (for example) it reports that 12 MACs were found, and then proceeds to display 12 rows that all have blank MAC's (see screenshot):

Searching through Cacti database tables - several appear to have MAC addresses listed - so they appear to be in the system, it just isn't displaying them:

The Cacti logs are all green, except for a MacTrack timeout that repeats in each scanning interval. Not sure if this is related, or if it caused by scanning issues with the Cisco ASA firewalls (that are reporting no interfaces in MacTrack)

Discussion with TheWitness about MacTrack marking ports with multiple MACs as trunk ports and ignoring them, then discussion about upgrading MacTrack to support this by adding 'Trunk Ports to Scan' to the per-device configuration settings. Will check if adding these ports resolves the issue, since many are for VMware/Proxmox/etc.

Reports that they have 900 MACs in their system, but cannot see any addresses after they updated from Spin 1.2.25 to .26.
TheWitness advised to update to MacTrack 4.7. Since I'm at MacTrack 4.9, I assume this issue is resolved.

To continue testing this, I copied the interface names from the MacTrack | Interfaces tab that have virtualization hosts attached with multiple VMs and added to the Device 'Trunk Ports to Scan' field - since there was some discussion that MacTrack would ignore ports with multiple MACs - unless they were declared as a trunk.

Unfortunately, same results (MacTrack | MacAddresses tab shows 200+ rows, but they all have blank MAC fields)

Another forum post here https://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=53174 showed how to run MacTrack debugs using this command, where the ID# is the device ID to scan:

php mactrack_scanner.php -id=# -d

Accordingly, running the command against a Cisco 3850 shows the following. Parsing this reveals that the scanner does find MACs, so I'm not sure why they are not being displayed in the interface.

Any wisdom is appreciated.
