cactiEZ installation/boot ISO issue

cactiEZ installation/boot ISO issue

hi all,

i would to try cactiEZ version, i downloaded CactiEZ-1.3.0-Rocky-9-4.iso
created a new VM on vmwareworkstation, setup a VM , attach the ISO ad CD-ROM

i tried the boot, it loaded fine but i got an error on Installation source" Error settings up software source,
i do some test, the cdrom /dev/sr0 is mounted , i dont' know how it fails.

any ideas?

Not all the packages are included. Does the VM have access to the Internet and the Rocky repos?

thanks for the information....

i needed to change my virtual ethernet device on vmware workstation to e1000 because the ISO doesn't contain the driver for the default AMD NIC.

edited file.vnx and added ethernet0.virtualDev = "e1000"

after that during the boot it downloaded all packages from internet.

on ESXi cluster i had another error during boot/ dracut inizialization. i will open a new thread.
