How do you change from HTTP to HTTPS for remote poller

Post by sbotnick »

Hello,

Running Cacti v1.2.27 on some RHEL iteration.

I have an issue where I need to get connection to the remote poller on 443 rather than 80. It appears that either the earlier discrete setting for the remote poller has been rolled into a grand "force HTTPS" setting or that was the old settings' functionality and it wasn't well labeled. Either way, this is causing me problems for user access to the web interface.

Discrete setting for remote:

Curiously, the current setup document for remote poller does not mention anything about the HTTP/HTTPS requirement or how to set it.

The next question is: How do I put in authentication information for the main poller to communicate with the remote poller via http/https when the web server has authentication?
