Hi,
Cacti V1.2.24 - Ubuntu
Long time Cacti user but first time with a problem I couldn't get my head around.
I've added a switch (WoMaster DS310) to Cacti - one of many - but this particular one wasn't showing interface statistics. All of my other switches (some of which are also WoMaster, but different models) worked fine straight off the bat.
It appears, by looking at the Poller Cache, that Cacti is using the wrong OIDs to poll the switch interfaces. The switch is configured in Cacti as a Generic SNMP device, which has always worked in the past.
The correct OID appears to be 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.xx etc but the errant switch configuration is polling 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.xxx which gets no response from the switch when tested with SNMPWALK.
I'm not sure how to debug why the indexing routine got this wrong and how to fix it.
Interestingly, I added the same switch to an elderly Cacti installation (0.8.8a) and it worked immediately!
I'd be glad of any help in getting to the bottom this.

compare used Associated Data Queries with any working device. Is it the same?

Re: Polling Switch With Wrong OIDs
Thanks for replying,
On the face of it, they appear to be the same. Different switches, different number of results.
The poller cache sample shows the unusual OID's that it's using.
Cheers

Re: Polling Switch With Wrong OIDs
oh, I overlooked your OIDs. It is problem with 32/64 bits counters. You have to use at least snmp v2 for 64bit counters.
When you creating new traffic graphs, you can choose 32 or 64bits. Try it

I do believe that you've hit the nail on the head!
I re-created the device from scratch (to get a nice, clean start) and selected 32-bit counters for bandwith. That works a treat.
Thanks so much
