remove spike help

Post by voytek »

I have a couple of big spikes in yearly view

I was hoping to cut off trim data from Dec 2022, but, not sure I'm doing it correctly

# removespikes.pl -v -n 1671039826 local_linux_machine_load_1min_2.rrd
Running in VERBOSE mode
No peaks found.!

what am I doing wrong ?
I'd like either to trim spikes, or, trim graph from Dec 2022 only

Right now, in those old RRA's it's kind of broken right now. We have an open issue to fix it. If you have boost on though, you can do it manually. You simply dump the RRDfile to XML, hand edit the changes and then re-import it. If you do it between boost updates, no data loss.

(I should left half of December, but, it was like, in mc, search for 2021, delete/delete/delete, opps, should've stopped sooner...)
anyhow, all done

Cool. There are these little bugs out there that I just hate double back to fix. Every so often, I get a in-rush of energy to fix some of these old bugs. Might happen, you never know.
