Hi,
If you mean by global setting, the monitor tab in the settings, I have attached it to have a look at.
I want to add something, specially for windows devices, I receive sometimes notification that the host went down and up again in two minutes difference.
whatever setting I use "ping or icmp" ping and snmp" "ping only" or snmp uptime only" I receive this notification which was not true, the server has not been down.
I belive this is something from network and firewall or even slow windows responce sometimes.
How to set cacti to be less sensitive to that kind of disconnection "from where in the setting"?
UDP ping, ICMP, TCP ping, which one do you recommed? I used to use ICMP ping.
and very thanks in advance bro.

Ya Thants why I posted this, its timed out of both snmp and icmp ping, but still considering it as Up !!!
check the attached sample, the illustrated device has been added and not in the network but still shown as up.

and kindly tell me how to tune the snmp and Ping threshold to not send falst alert with windows devices.

I should remove the Availability "and" or "or" functions. They simply create issues. Use one "or" the other but not both. Just wastes valuable polling cycles.
