snmp v2

Post by drees »

I can't seem to get snmp v2 support working.

I can run snmpget from the command line and get responses back from my device.

I can run tcpdump and see the requests get sent from cacti. But they behave as if they are v1 requests.

Well, I've sort of got it working by commenting out lines 45 - 47 of lib/snmp.php

If those are the WEBUI lines, I was just about to suggest removing that.

That "feature" will be removed in 0.8.6d. I'm tired of it causing issues.

It is already removed from the latest version at http://www.cacti.net/downloads/patches/ ... b/snmp.php

In addition, if you upgrade to the latest PHP (Either 4.x or 5.x) snmpv2 support is built into php_snmp allowing for a significant speedup of cmd.php when processing using that poller.

Many post on that... But if I had to suspect anything, I would wonder about the firmware revision.

ACtually the problem was the SNMP_WEBGUI section on the snmpwalk.
