IIS on Win2k, getting "304 Not modified" errors

Post by janfnielsen »

Hey There

As i can c, many ppl are having problems with the Win2k/IIS/Cacti combination. Well now it's my turn :-) I have followed all the install instructions from the site, plus all the other little tricks that are needed (found in other msgs on this board). My problem is that when i wan't to view cacti from other places than the server that it runs on, in a browser, i get past the login and nothing happens. Now i have a network analyser, and it shows that IIS returns a "304 Not Modified" Error, does anyone know what this means ?

Regards
Jan

Hmm, found that 304 Not Modified just tells the browser, that the document is in it's cache, and hasn't been modified since the last visit. Shouldn't be a problem, only getting it on the static gif/png files.

Damn, thought i found the error :-(
