Realtime Graph polling gaps.

Post by Chaudiya »

Hi Gurus,

I have an issue on Cacti 1.2.24 realtime graph. Using realtime graph results in polling gaps as seen below. For your kind recommendation please.

Go to logs and filter Stats. Is your poller running on time when?

Interesting, could be timeouts too.

I'm trying to replicate the issue however it not reoccur during my testing. It might be related to network. However, during my testing, I've encounter another issue that when using real time graph as window, it doesn't seem to poll if you minimize it, or if it is behind another browser. Basically, you always have to have it in "front" of your screen for it to poll date accurately which makes working on other things impossible or you are simultaneously monitoring multiple real time data

As you can see polling flat out when the graph are minimized or behind other window.

Oh, awesome. That might be a browser optimization and not much we can do about it. What browser are you using?

Hi I am using Brave and Chrome with the same result. I have tested it using Firefox, firefox wont let me minimize and will pop out purposefully when I minimized it  .

Anyway I guess we just have to live with it. Appreciate your help and many thanks for this awesome tool.

I suspect this might be a setting you can tweak. Likely it's there for power saving purposes too. Asking the Google devs would help. If you discover the solution, post it back here.
