Help about keep more historical data

Post by saulofonseca »

Hello everyone,

Yestherday my backbone provider sent me this graph below about my ISP bandwith utilization for the June period:

This is my Cacti's graph for the same period:

How could I keep this historical data more detailed on Cacti, like the graph from the backbone provider above ???

I don't know wich software they are using, but I beleave we can do the same on Cacti.

Regards

Basically, edit your data source profile and add rows to the respective RRA's. Best delete all the RRDfiles, or splice them afterwards.

1) Update the data source profile to new Rows and retention
2) Move old RRDfiles to temp directory
3) Let Cacti recreate the RRDfile with the new setting
4) Learn to use the splice_rrd.php script to merge the two files.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
