It fails when I graph many devices, please help me

Post by david454545 »

I work for an ISP.

I want to know what is the maximum number of devices that I can graph, if cacti has a limit of concurrent graphs

My intention is to graph all my users and have the graphs of the network interfaces to look at the graphs of the Mb consumed, the users exceed 5000 users.

currently when I have a high number of graphs I see that the new graphs do not work, but the old ones do keep graphing well

please help me with this; to know why when I add more graphics the new ones don't work; I want to know if cacti has a limit of concurrent graphs

Hi

This error appears constantly and coincides with the time when some devices do not graph

You are only running a single process for cmd.php for a lot of systems. You need to increase the number of processes. Goto Console > Data Collection > Data Collectors and then edit the Main Poller. Set the number of processes to be twice the number of CPUs in the Cacti system and see how it goes. Watch the system load of the Cacti server and adjust the number up or down accordingly.

Ideally, I would swap to Spine instead of cmd.php, but test with cmd.php first.

Change the processors from 1 to 8 in console > Data Collectors

Data Collector Information
Processes: 8

I have a question

Console > Configuration > Settings > Poller
Attach screenshot

Please help me by telling me if it is necessary to modify the value of Default Data Collector Processes in the tab Poller
currently Data Collector Processes is 1

The one under Settings is just the default if you create any new remote Pollers, its not going to help with your current poller issue, so you can ignore it.

After changing the Data Collectors processes where I stated, what does your SYSTEM STATS line in the log look like now?

I attach screenshots of the recent log where lines are shown in red

How can I fix this to avoid these errors?

You also need to fix your extensions. You have duplicate entries in /etc/php.d/ for snmp.conf
