[SOLVED]Poller Issue - Overrunning

Post by eholz1 »

Hello all,
The cacti poller, and cron and collector threads seem to be an issue on my server,
which was running without any poller overrun warnings for a really long time.
These warning have just started appearing. I am running cacti-1.2.19, with cron at 1 minute, and poller at every
30 sec. The collector is set for 18 processess and 26 threads. All this used to work.

I am trying to find any devices that might not be responding, but everything seems fine.
There are 500 hosts being checked. The vm is an Oracle 7 machine.

I have another cacti server running cacti-1.2.24, polling more or less the same devices. but running with 1 min poller interval and 5 minute cron with no warnings. it has 6 processes and 12 threads. Would this interfere with the running
of the other server?

This issue is very irritating,
Thanks for any tips,
eholz1

Try to disable second cacti? Maybe any devices have a preformance problem.
