Problem installing cacti 1.2.23 on FreeBSD

Post by drenny »

Hi Folks

i tried a new cacti installation on a new installed freebsd-server (from pkg / ports).
Version of Cacti is 1.2.23
PHP 8.1.13

from web o don't get any output after accepting the eula, on CLI i see the following error:

Code: Select all

php install_cacti.php
Cacti Install Utility, Version 1.2.23 (DB: new_install), Copyright (C) 2004-2023 The Cacti Group

Fatal error: Uncaught ValueError: parse_ini_file(): Argument #1 ($filename) cannot be empty in /usr/local/share/cacti/lib/utility.php:1766
Stack trace:

#2 /usr/local/share/cacti/lib/installer.php(1802): utility_php_recommends()
#3 /usr/local/share/cacti/lib/installer.php(1645): Installer->processStepCheckDependencies()
#4 /usr/local/share/cacti/lib/installer.php(223): Installer->processCurrentStep()
#5 /usr/local/share/cacti/cli/install_cacti.php(180): Installer->jsonSerialize()
#6 {main}
  thrown in /usr/local/share/cacti/lib/utility.php on line 1766
as i found out: get_cfg_var('cfg_file_path') returns an empty-string

is that a known problem?

show reply of command:
php --ini

It seems that you haven't php.ini configured
